Wyndham Refresh Project

There are over 7000 properties in the Wyndham Hotel Group. Given the number of different franchisees they work with, Wyndham realized there was a strong likelihood that their properties might not be fully updated or properly photographed. As a result, WHG Corporate spearheaded a huge initiative to audit and photograph every property under their guidance.

My responsibilities included 90 properties across the country. I coordinated my arrival and travel with corporate. All dates were in the middle of the busy Summer season when most properties were completely sold out. Franchise owners were not allowed to choose their dates. Most owners had to be convinced to let me access their rooms. Many owners thought another day would be better and some did not want me there at all. However, failure to provide access on their scheduled date would result in a costly fee.

The work at each property had to be completed within 24 hours. Each hotel property required a brand audit report regardless of the owner's commitment to the project and quality photographs of 16 different areas of the hotel. Although I faced various challenges throughout this project, I managed to photograph all of my properties without reshooting because of my ability to empathetically negotiate with the owners to help them understand the nuances of the project and how to achieve the objective.
